This month Do you read me? features...

art by Dean Pickup, music from Bill Gilliam, performance poetry by Wakefield Brewster, short stories from Jason Norman and works-in-progress by Anne Sorbie.


ANNE SORBIE is the author of three books. Her most recent is a book of poetry entitled, Falling Backwards Into Mirrors. In 2022 Inanna will publish The (M)othering Anthology which she co-edited with Heidi Grogan.


JASON LEE NORMAN is a writer from Edmonton with a beard. He edits Funicular Magazine and publishes Monto Books.


WAKEFIELD BREWSTER is one of Canada’s most popular and prolific Performance Poets. He is a BlackMan born and raised in Toronto, by parents hailing from the island of Barbados and has resided in Calgary since 2006. He speaks and performs across Canada and the United States.


BILL GILLIAM is a composer, pianist who explores the boundaries between new music, improvisation, electro-acoustic music and contemporary jazz. He has collaborated and performed with many experimental artists of like mind in the areas of music, improvisation, film, dance, theatre and sound poetry and continues to create compositions for new music chamber performance ensembles.


DEAN PICKUP was born and raised in the Edmonton area. He studied graphic design at Grant MacEwan University, and is a professional artist and book designer. His award-winning work over the last two decades can be seen on over 200 published book covers.
